1. Try not to waste your food

If you have left-overs from a huge meal you’ve prepared, don’t throw them down the trash. Put them in containers, stock them up in the fridge, and so any time of the week, you can grab it and heat it. You just saved yourself a meal for that day.

2. Turn on Power Saving mode in your home

This means you shut down unnecessary power consumers in your home, or you can opt not to use it. Let’s say it’s a hot summer day; you may choose not to use your dryer and let your clothes dry out and bask in the sun. You may also consider inverter appliances when you need to buy one. They may be more expensive, but they will save you money in the long run. And when you need to replace your busted lights, choose the LED ones – they last longer.

3. Walk more

It is a healthy exercise, you can save money from spending it on gas, and you are saving mother earth.

4. Don’t buy a car just because you can afford

Buy a car when it financially makes sense, when you have a lot of extra money. A car is not an asset; it is a liability. From maintenance to accessories, it will definitely take a big chomp out of your budget.

5. Promos, Coupons, Discounts

Use them, don’t just let them rot in your pocket. Take advantage of sales and promos to buy the things that you truly need. Also, you may consider buying in bulk. Discounts usually apply when you buy in bulk, and in this way, you can save time, money, and energy frequently going to the supermarket.

6. Avoid debts

As much as possible, avoid falling into the sweet words of lending companies, bank loans, and other precious propaganda these companies offer. However, if you really need the money for something important, make paying your debts a priority to avoid stress and prevent unpaid debts from draining your assets and resources.

7. Refrain from using your credit card

Its interest is no joke, better pay in cash. A credit card should be your last resort of payment, and you should only use it when deemed necessary.
