I relocated from SC to GA. I have been in contact with the complex since February of this year. I've rented sight unseen before and ran into no issues.

The two locations are about 5 hours apart. I've also been recently promoted at work so lots of life changes at once. I did everything online and through email with the complex. This is my 4th state to state move where I've leased a property before seeing the actual apartment. I've never run into any issue.

The apartment has been pretty strict about access due to Covid. I came over last weekend, unable to get in touch with the property management. Move-in day was yesterday.

The apartment is completely different from the virtual tour. The leasing agent in an email confirmed this unit was renovated, it is not. The unit from the virtual tour had plank flooring, black appliances, and updated countertops. This unit has wall-to-wall carpet, older white appliances, and old countertops.

I moved in around 4:30 through a lockbox the office closed at 5. The office opens at 10 am I plan to be in the parking lot so they can not avoid me.

I signed the lease online before moving in I have not signed the move-in inspection. It's been less than 24 hours. I've looked up online that the lease is binding whether you take possession of the unit or not.

I feel intentionally deceived and misled. I'm not sure if I have any recourse at this point and suggestions, guidance, or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also, there is a noxious odor permeating the apartment. A very strong and musky it refreshes every few hours it has to be coming from the unit downstairs. I don't know if I have any rights concerning that either.
