Hear me out! We all have those laptops which had amazing specs to begin with but with new software updates takes forever to load, new chrome just doesn't seem to work etc. etc..

The most obvious solution which is just staring at out face but we don't bother to look at is to UPGRADE THE HDD TO SSD.

I wanted to buy a new one because no matter what I do (light softwares, linux) my 5 yr old laptop (i5, 4gb) still felt sluggish and chrome took forever. I always felt that SSD is costlier but never bothered to check up the actual cost. But when I did, I was in for a shock. Yes, for gb to gb, they are costlier but uses 01 tb normally for home usage (and you can always use your previous hdd aa portable disk if you need more space).

I got a 500gb ssd for the price of 1tb portable disk and thats the best decision I made for my laptop. Its now snappier than ever and works as fast the ultrabooks and macbooks. I also went ahead and added extra RAM also (just like that). And its very easy to insga these components ourselves.

And so now it feels like new at the 1/10 cost of the original one.

Please go ahead and try it before you decide to invest a ton into a new one.
