So I keep hearing all types things about Alibaba from a complete fraud to potential to be bigger than Amazon.
So I decide to buy something from the website. Now I know it’s supposed to be a B2B but Alibaba.com is a super janky website that seems like a college kid’s first year project. The search redundancies, lack of reviews for manufactures and products, having to chat with people that don’t speak English to get a single sample, the fact that shipping costs are not prominently displayed and often triples the cost of what was an amazing price and the list goes.
So, I’m wondering if this is their main income source? Or Is alibaba.com just a side hustle to something much bigger.
You can look at this 2 different ways, either they aren’t as big as they say and something sketchy is going on, which is a negative outlook OR they are big and still have tons of room to grow, which is a positive outlook
