Several years ago my husband signed us up for a store card from Cabela's. It is through Capital One.

We only use it once or twice a year, and always pay it off in full before the due date.

Every month, Capital One sends me an email. In the body of the email, it will say "Your current balance is $0" then I usually go to my account and double check.

Yesterday I got my monthly email from them, but even though we haven't used that card in probably six months, the body of the email said my balance is $456.78. When I go to my actual account, it shows my balance as $0, new charges as $0, fees as $0, etc.. There is no money owed showing on my account, but the body of the email had that high balance.

Obviously I will be calling first thing tomorrow morning, but I am wondering what (if any) steps I should take to make sure I am not going to owe this money. Thank you for any advice you can give!
