I made the decision to leave my job despite really needing the salary, and was bent on living on the bare minimum. Had a nightmare of a director, affected me greatly - I was so shaken i couldn't even do simple things anymore. And I couldn't seem to snap out of it and recognised that there was just nothing for me there anymore.
Got a job with an increase in salary with an amazing healthy positive enivorment and actually felt like i was valuable! Though i was not doing what I like, the environment was great. Few months later, i somehow secured a contract job that doubled my pay! I was ecstatic and also afraid because it lasts for 1 year.. Sure hope i can somehow extend it!
I've been reading all the finance threads, keeping myself aware and accountable. I'm able to save for my emergency fund, donate, help my family and afford some yummy food from time to time.
It's been a whirlwind and I'm going to start putting in money with etfs. I'm excited that i finally got here!!
Heads up to peoole who feel like you're behind. You're equipping yourself with all this information and you'll be ready for it when the money comes in.
