Hello fellow Frugalites! I try to do grocery curbside pickup to avoid going into the store and be better about meal planning, but it also worries me about the possibility for errors. Today, I had 1 poblano pepper on my order. They usually cost about $.65 each in my area (they're super cheap). On my receipt, it said my lonely pepper was $3.41, which was almost 10% of my grocery bill!!! I called to ask about it. My suspicion is that they put in the wrong code for a much more expensive pepper. They sell for $2.49/lb as you can see in the pics. At first, the customer service rep said maybe it was a really big pepper (that 1.5 lb pepper would be winning awards at the state fair!) so I weighed it on my kitchen scale and sure enough, it was .4 ounces which comes to $.68. So, please watch your grocery bill when you're not the person ringing up the transaction (like the self checkout) or aren't there to watch in a traditional grocery line. Pics linked so you can see what happened. poblano pepper

And thanks for all of the tips and advice you all share here, I'm so thankful to be part of this wonderful community.
