I have a car that I've taken off insurance. The tabs are due for renewal soon but I don't want to pay for registration if I am not driving the car. What happens if I let the tabs lapse and wait until I start driving again to renew the tabs? I'm hoping to skip out on a few months of tab fees.
For context this is in minnesota. I tried searching https://onlineservices.dps.mn.gov/EServices/_/ but couldn't find the information I need. Does anybody know how this works in MN?
Regardless, I bet there are some other people on this sub who could benefit from taking a vehicle off of insurance and/or registration.
