Hi folks. I need some advice on how to treat my dandruff. It’s pretty bad. My scalp gets itchy as well. I wash my hair 3x a week, and right now I’m using Jason brand dandruff shampoo/conditioner 2-in-1 but it’s a little expensive. I used to be able to get it cheaper at TJ maxx but I can’t find it there anymore. Right now I pay $11 for a 12 oz bottle and it lasts me maybe 6 weeks. I don’t know why it takes me so much to wash my hair with this product. If I use less my hair doesn’t get clean and I still have dandruff.
Head and shoulders regular and extra strength/clinical strength (the blue bottle) doesn’t work on my hair. It doesn’t even make a dent in my dandruff.
T-gel tar shampoo helps with my dandruff but not my itchy scalp, and it dries my hair out like nobodies business.
I haven’t tried selsun blue because of the price.
Anyone with dandruff have any recommendations? I have artificially colored hair as well (right now it’s bright red) and I don’t really care about fading, but I don’t like products that would dry my hair out too much. I do have a really nice conditioner though that I spent a good chunk of change on that has been lasting forever because it’s so concentrated I only need a little bit.
