My stepson (16) is going to receive $2200 for an internship, and the company will not be taking any taxes out. Not sure what to do for filing?

He is told he will be receiving a 1099 form. We currently claim him as a dependent. Do we include his income in our taxes? Or does he file separately even though he’s a dependent? Not sure what to do.
