Last week I accepted another job and put my two weeks notice in at my employer on Friday. Yesterday morning they decided to fire me and have me clear out my desk. I now have 3 weeks off until I start my new job. Can I file for unemployment benefits and is it even worth it for 3 weeks? I am in Virginia.
I've never filed for unemployment so would appreciate any advice. Thanks!
