Moved in to my own place back in October and everything in my apartment is Bosch. Fridge and freezer are fine, oven could do with a deep clean but it's fine.
Washer-dryer combo IS fine, however it has a musty smell which doesn't seem to want to go away, a bit of water left at the bottom below the drum (I can hear it moving as I shake the machine), seal is broken in one place causing very, very minor leakage each run, and the drier absolutely isn't working properly as I tried it for the first time last night on my towels and they were damp and barely warm after 2 hours. Cost of repair will absolutely not be worth it.
I use Which.co.uk and their Best Buy washer-dryer combo is currently £200 off - was £850, now £650 on a limited sale.
On the one hand, the Bosch washer drier I have now is okay but will need replacing and I CAN live with it, though it's not great.
It could just be that the filter for the pipes needs cleaning out. Some washes don't smell of the softener I use. It's not a big deal but mildly annoying. It cleans, doesn't smell as it should, and the drier doesn't work, clearly.
Appliances have a circa 10-year expectency so it's getting close.
Should I wait until it conks out or just replace it now and try and grab the deal? I easily see myself staying in this apartment for 5 years or maybe more.
I have about 7 months of expenses saved up and this would basically be just over half my monthly savings gone if I go ahead. Just a bit scared spending large sums during this pandemic (he says, after shelling out 40+k last year on a flat deposit).
