I’m a 22 year old dude and had a pretty great start when I began my investing journey last year. I was hesitant at first but when I started seeing profits from my portfolio, I continued making smart investments.
Then I discovered another subreddit (which I’m sure we all know the name of) and started getting reckless. Buying meme stonks and random call options. I even pulled money from my college savings because I was running out of investment money. I lost $600 in a month (-50% of my total gains), but I wised up in the process. These subreddits are cool but sometimes they can get to your head and make you do things out of character. I say that to say that I’m walking away from that gambling world and going back to where I started...investing.
