I have a friend/coworker who will buy a specialty coffee everyday and not bat an eye. A few months ago I got the bright idea that if she could spend $5 on a coffee everyday and not miss the money I could put $5 in my savings everyday and not miss it. It’s true! It automatically transfers and I don’t even notice. I just forget about it until I check my savings account and notice it slowly growing in between times I deposit larger amounts into it. It’s a very satisfied feeling and fun to do.
Not sure if this is in the right sub but thought it was a good tip. :)
