So I work and live in CA, as a seasonal worker. At the beginning of the season I got a message from the head of my HR department approving pay for 25 an hour. I thought its was a little unusual at the time because the typical standard rate for my department is 20/hr. Though due to my credentials and experience in the department I thought it was validated. Fast forward 2 months into the season I just checked my pay statements and they have changed my wage back to 20 an hour. They did so without notifying me at all. What should I do now? Can I argue to HR that my original approved wage was 25/hr?
