For years, I've gotten my prescriptions through mail-order OptumRx because I just assumed that was the cheapest option out there. After all, my employer and insurance had a deal with them.
I wish I'd discovered this earlier, but I was paying $50+ more per prescription than when I shopped around, using the $10 generic option with Walmart Pharmacy and GoodRx for a local grocery store pharmacy.
I'm kicking myself for just assuming the pharmacy my insurance and employer had a deal with was giving me the best bang for my buck.
