You do not need a Costco/Sam’s membership (or the huge receipts that come along with walking into one of those stores). Some things can be bought in bulk through Amazon. I had some allergies kick in this past fall and was buying generic Zyrtec at the grocery store but it was like $10 for a 1-month supply. Amazon had a year’s supply for $15. I believe my allergies are indoor allergies because when I try to go without the meds I feel it. So I’m happy to have a jug of the pills!
Same goes for OTC pain pills like ibuprofen. The stuff doesn’t ever actually go bad. Cut down on the “as needed” purchases at the grocery store and just know that you’ll probably need ibuprofen many times over the next 5-10 years. I had surgery recently and went through a ton of the stuff afterward.
Buying the smaller grocery store sized bottles (usually 30-60 tablets max) is just plain expensive.
