I've acquired a few enameled cast iron Le Creuset pots over the years either as wedding presents, 2nd hand, or major sales. I've never bought one full price, but I still love them and would probably be tempted if I actually needed to replace something. A couple years ago a kitchen supply store closed down and I took the opportunity to buy a big LC non-stick frying pan/wok. At the time, I was sick of non-stick pans that only lasted a few years before losing their coating and thought it would be worth it to spend more money to have something that actually lasted.
Obviously, that didn't happen. It hasn't even been three years and the pan is next to useless as far as non-stick qualities go. I'm so disappointed that I wasted $150 on it. Finding out I wasted money after the fact always feels like such a kick to the guts.
