I had a bottle of that fabric refresher stuff and I was just about out. I'm sure as hell not going out to buy a bottle of Febreeze during a pandemic, but I use mine a lot and I was going to run out before my next grocery trip. That's when I remembered reading on here about making your own Febreeze with fabric softener.

Y'all this is SUCH a good idea. Not only is it stupid cheap per bottle, but you can get a fabric softener scent you really like and sort of customize the smell. I used the same brand we used to use at home when I was a kid and the smell is not only just plain nice, being able to pick that scent reminds me of hanging laundry out to dry when I was a kid. It's weirdly comforting.

The "recipe" I used was 1/8th cup fabric softener, 2 tablespoons of baking soda, then top it off with warm water to help mix the ingredients. Give it a shake before every use. This could be even more frugal by buying a bottle of fabric softener from a dollar store. As long as they smell nice the quality doesn't have to be great.
