Caffeine by itself in pill form is incredibly cheap, about 3-4 cents per 200mg if you buy in bulk, while energy drinks and coffee are usually ridiculously overpriced, usually going for well over $1 per 16oz drink which often contains less then 200mg of caffeine. So far, the only thing I miss is the lack of the immediate caffeine hit, which in liquid form is partially absorbed through the buccal mucosa of the mouth. This can be remedied however by cutting open the pill and putting its powdered contents in water, where the caffeine readily dissolves. It is generally tasteless except for a slight bitter flavor.
