I purchased $2k worth of furniture back in November. The invoice I signed does specify that no returns or refunds are allowed. It also says a 30% restocking fee will be applied to any refunds. I signed the order receipt not really thinking much of it. The receipt did also state that delivery would take 6-10 weeks. It has now been 10 weeks and no one even bothered to contact me.

When I called the store, I was told that they are still waiting for my furniture. I was informed that they would be receiving a container in 3 months and that my furniture MIGHT be in that container. If it’s not, I would have to wait an additional three months for their next container. I told them it was completely ridiculous that they expected me to wait an additional 3 months to MAYBE get my furniture.

When I asked for a refund, I kept being referred to different people until someone actually agreed to issue a refund. However, they want to charge me a 30% restocking fee. What the hell are they supposed to restock if they can’t even give me an actual date of when my furniture will be delivered?! I understand that I signed (and therefore agreed) to their stupid refund/return policy but they also agreed to a specific delivery time frame by specifying a the delivery time frame on the signed order receipt. I would understand if they were delayed by a couple of weeks but definitely not 3-6 months. I’m thinking of calling my credit card company tomorrow to request a chargeback. Has anyone been successful with their claims regarding a furniture purchase?
