Does anyone else remember these. Back in the day when somebody would pay off their mortgage they would have a mortgage burning party. Invite the neighbors and friends and they would celebrate the fact that they paid off their house. I feel sad that we don’t see this anymore. And I think of somebody tried it would be looked at as boastful or showboating. Am I off-base?
