long story short.. i cancelled my tmobile service a couple of years back (2018) and switched carriers. my numbers were transferred over to a new carrier. I had called them and made sure we were good and they said yes no bill due (it was prepaid) since i pay as i go.

fast forward to 2019 and all of a sudden i owe them 160$ for a missed payment. for service i suddenly have with them again apperantly? i called them and they said i never paid for the last payment when i cancelled. i told them thats bs. They somehow managed to take the amount out from a credit card i had enrolled with them for autopaying the bill every month.

i disputed this transaction with my bank as soon as i saw it and i got my money back sort of speak (more like credited permanently from my bank and probably shut out Tmobile from completing the charge).

afterwards, it didnt take tmobile long for them to send me a notice i had to pay them.. then couple of months go by before i hear of a debt collector now calling and sending me notices.

and finally (thanks for reading it this far!) now in 2020, A NEW debt collection is calling me for this amount. how the hell do i take care of this?! my biggest gripe with this damn issue is that i dont owe them shit. on top of that, it seems every time this debt amount gets passed on to another debt agency collection company, it makes it reappear on my credit report as if its a fresh debt that was sent to collections. its extremely annoying aside from being harassed with phone calls which i dont pick up obviously but the whole credit report reappearing is seriously hurting my credit due to mainly having a job in which this stuff doesnt make me look good overall.

at this point im willing to just pay the damn amount only if it stops going from one debt collection to the next and it is gone in general. i know it wont leave my credit report but if i can at least stop it from making its next debut i would really be happy with that.

sorry this turned into a rant. any suggestions would help.
