Two weeks ago while on vacation I bought a meal at a small, local restaurant. I remembered signing the receipt with ~$20 as my bill.
A week later, As I was going through my credit card transactions I noticed that this restaurant charged me $5000 for the meal. My heart sank...
I contacted my credit card company and they were useless. I can't dispute a transaction until 2 weeks after the transaction was posted.
I called the restaurant. They are aware and said they were sorry. I'll be honest I was rude to them because this is unacceptable and around Christmas time!
They refunded my money but they refunded me $10k. I don't know what is going on. I feel like they are scamming me. What else should I do?
