Stopped by today to pay rent with cash. Received a signed and dated receipt from his office staff. Received an email from landlord a few hours later that money is missing from the envelope and we owe him more money for rent. Responded to his email with a picture of our receipt, signed by his employee. Is there anything he can do to make us pay the extra money? We are absolutely 100% sure we paid the right amount. We counted it like 5 times and his employee counted it in front of us.
