Throwaway but still a serious question. Just got laid off today and am contemplating my next step and looking for advice. My current city has high unemployment so finding work will be super tough and can't qualify for any assistance because I got a severance check from my layoff. Sitting on about 25k at 26 and no debt, fearful of spending it all while being unemployed if it goes on for a while. Anyone been in a similar situation or have some advice?
