I worked in Silicon Valley for about almost a decade, and in tech for about 15 years. I feel kind of burnt out and I want to build passive income.
I was able to save around half a million dollars. After the pandemic hit in April, I chickened out and sold most of my (tech) stocks, which was retrospectively a mistake.
Currently, I don’t own real estate, and I’m not convinced it’s the best investment to do right now.
2 thirds of my portfolio consists of cash on my saving account (the rest is tech stock, crypto, and 401k).
I intend to invest half of my cash in tech stocks again, index funds / ETF, and maybe REIT, and keep the rest for later investment, maybe in hard real estate assets when market drops significantly.
Any recommendation before I start losing money?
