My grandmother is on a fixed income, now that she has retired and my grandfather passed away, and is getting out of her timeshare, Bluegreen Resorts, she's had for almost 20 years. They wanted to charge her 21k (they told her it's better than the 100k she'd be paying over the next ten years) to get out of it, but she is selling her timeshare "account" to another company Pinnacle Vacations, but is still stuck with a $9k settlement fee based on the number of points she had. This seems rather suspicious to me, even though a couple of my uncles said they also spoke to the rep and said it seemed legit.
My main goal here is to simply get her out of having to pay anything, because she can no longer afford it.
