I live in the US and my mother lives alone in India. She just got diagnosed with stage 3 uterine cancer. There’s no support system for her. I have decided to get her surgery done in India but I cannot stay in India for more than three weeks. I’m thinking of bringing her to the US for chemo and radiation therapy. I’m not sure how much it costs without insurance. I have 20k saved up and I make 75k per year. 1500$ is my mortgage per month. I have around 90k in my 401k which I’m willing to liquidate. I need advice on how to proceed with paying for the treatment. I just don’t see myself with any money left after her treatments. I feel hopeless in this situation.
