I was doing some research into Magellan Aerospace ($MAL) and saw that when they almost went under during the 2008 crisis, the founder of the company managed to increase his ownership to 75%.
This guy's a semi well-known Canadian businessman, co-owner of the Calgary Flames - so he's no scrub.
But it had me questioning if this large ownership by a single person was a good or bad sign. What are the implications of this compared to a company with many large stakeholders?
