My girlfriend left a bunch of expensive clothing items in my car for a few days (I'm talking about 300 dollar shoes, 200 dollars coat, dress, etc). My car got broken into today, and those items were stolen. I filed a claim, will file a police report tomorrow, etc. Adjustor yet to call me tomorrow. In the process of writing up an itemized list. I called AAA and they will not send me the policy documents since there is an open claim. I can't ready details on it due to that. I would like to know if my girlfriend's clothes that were in the car will be covered under my renter's insurance or not under "personal loss". I know that if guests get hurt in my house that they will be covered. I wonder if a similar principle applies here.
