I have an auto loan in collections from about 7 years ago. It is the only collections account I have left. I havent really tackled it because the balance is a lot more than I can afford right now, especially due to being unemployed because of covid.
I pulled my credit report last week, and it appears someone has been made about four payments on it in the last seven months. I called my MIL (the cosigner), but she said she wasnt making payments. I know I'm not making payments. Ive attempted to call them but can never get ahold of a live person. Does anyone have any input on what might be going on here? Theres no one else in our lives who would even have the information on how to make a 7 year old car payment.
