My dad is in his room all day and does nothing but sit still or sleep. He is not drinking water and not eating. He is definitely not in a state to work and I've been helping him do the paperwork to declare sick leave. Unfortunately, I feel this is going to be much more longer term than I thought and he'll eventually run out of sick hours at this rate. It has been like this for almost a month so far and I'm certain it's some sort of depression but I don't know the cause. I am tempted to have him declare early retirement or take a disability leave but I'm not sure if sudden depression is a reason you can be on disability. My original idea of disability is a physical work injury. I could really use some advice on this. Thanks in advance
