I’ve recently been pondering on the question and hopefully I’ll find an answer here - In the short-term, the effects of COVID on the market are pretty clear - giants got bigger, eCommerce business did great, online businesses did great, pharma companies who claim to have a vaccine did great.

At this point, looks like the biggest losers in terms of the economy are the small/medium businesses, mostly privately held - my question is - how would THEIR losses affect the market? Those are millions of not billions of businesses worldwide - am I wrong expecting some kind of domino effect? Maybe their suppliers should lose?

I realize this is an over-simplified view, but I’m trying to understand if there’s some common understanding to what are the long-term effects of COVID, assuming we (roughly) understand the short-term once.
