I wouldn’t say I’m extremely frugal, but my frugalness has always seemed to cause a little bit of friction in all my relationships. It seems like almost everyone I’ve dated is a little put off by my reluctance to go spend money on an expensive dinner or getting drinks at a bar. I don’t mind doing those things occasionally (like maybe once a month) but regardless it never seems to be sufficient for some people who don’t want to feel restrained by my preference to not spend money more freely. I feel like a lone saver in a world full of spenders
