So I've been trying to spend my free time learning new things and I pulled this lamp from one of my apartment's dumpsters a month ago and it had half it's cable missing as it appeared to have been chewed off by presumably their dog.I also have a big bag of junk cables I also pulled from another dumpster a while back and used that to splice on.I didn't get the cables as smooth and small as I wanted, but it is insulated and taped over inside and outside the heat shrink for good measure as well as the wires are telephone wrapped (I think it's called) and soldered together now.Glad I finally got that project finished, feels good to have it done now, I got really tired of staring at it every day.Now whenever I can get a digital multi-meter, I plan to get back to my other project, diagnosing and hopefully getting a vacuum I also pulled from the trash working again.I know this isn't much, but I'm very proud of my little accomplishment here.https://ift.tt/3pfqBKo pretty but it works. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/35eOTw0
