I purchased a home with my partner (not married) in 2015. In October 2020, I found out he had been cheating on me with various people for our entire 12 year relationship... needless to say we are splitting up.
The question is what to do about the house? What makes sense? I am going to be the one staying here, which he has basically agreed to. He says he doesn’t want me to buy him out because he would lose out on the investment. I’m also not sure I could buy him out.
Some (hopefully) helpful facts: -Home purchase in 2015: $245,000 -Put down a total of 15% (no PMI) (we each put in the same amount) -Mortgage is split down the middle every month
