I've been googling around but I must not be using the right descriptions or search terms because my search results just come up with transition strips, and the metal strips I'm seeing are between the hardwood and the baseboard, peeking out from under the trim—so they don't appear to be used for transitioning between different types of flooring or carpet. I've seen these metal strips at the very edge of the flooring in old apartments I've lived in, and it's in the house I just bought as well. Going to eventually do some rehab on these floors (probably not fully DIY since I'm a real beginner) and I'd love to understand what I'm looking at here!This community rocks.
