I recently sat down and did all the math for my family's expenses and income and I'm baffled. I make between 8k and 9k a month, monthly expenses are around 5k. Theoretically I should have money left over at the end of the month. Yet I don't. I work full time, spouse is a stay at home parent. I set up a system to pay certain expenses each week as I get paid weekly. So far, my system has worked, but the last couple of months my account is either overdrawn right before payday or I have just a few dollars.
I'm scared and hoping I can fix this as we have a baby and I want to be able to save for the inevitable emergency. Any tips would be appreciated!!!!
