I just found out that my travel insurance does not cover covid-19 related illness and I am about to travel in 2 days to Jamaica. I'm curious what would be the costs associated wih health care etc. if I were to be stuck and sick there while on vacation during non-essential travel. Are there any examples or stories for someone that has had this happen to them - how much did thr bills add up to? Were you forcibly removed and quarantined in.a hospital at cost? How come the insurance companies won't cover covid19 illness - and how would they even know if it is covid-19 and not just a flu or something else without forcing me to take a test?
