I really like non-stick pans, but no matter how careful I am - they only last one year. I have electric stove, never cook on high, only use silicone spatula - no exceptions. I wash it either by hand with non-scratching blue sponge or dishwasher (50/50).
For almost a year they work perfectly: fried eggs just slide off the pan, but after a year surface fades, stuff sticks to pan. I buy decent pans: Calphalon and AllClad. Are there area of improvements, or I should just accept the fact that I need to buy new pan every year?
P.S. please don't advise to me cast iron, steel or stainless. For many years I tried those (especially cast iron) - I'm done with those.
