Last week I went to Vermont and stayed in an Airbnb in the middle of nowhere for a week with my long term partner. We’re from Pennsylvania and just needed to get away from where we live (suburbs of Philly), and being there we both realized it felt like exactly the life we’ve been wanting. So we’re making a plan and aim to move in 2 years. We’ll sell our house, figure out jobs (I currently work a remote job with permission to move), have time to map out a smooth transition and I cannot wait! I’ve been feeling so directionless, because where we live to have any sort of land is going to cost well over $450k and I just think that’s absurd. Why work so hard to earn more just to afford barely 1 acre of land when we could make changes and find more space? I already enjoy a simple lifestyle: hikes, baking, gardening, riding horses, biking, playing with my dog. It just feels really good to have some clarity on my life and it’s direction and thought I could share with you all :)
