So I was looking for a HEPA filter, and was ready to drop 1000USD until I read this
Message is loud and clear - focus on Volume and pushing the most air possible - any suggestions on what I can do here? I have a living room of ~1000 sqft, and a bedroom of ~500 sqft.
I'm open to putting in 2 units in the living room, and one in the bedroom.
I found some interesting units, but at 50 bucks a filter, that seems excessive and I don't want to lock myself into it.
I know people will say Box Fans + Tape an AC Filter, but I'm not going to tape it every 90 days. Regretfully I've moved beyond that from a lifestyle perspective. I'm willing to pay more up front if Filter costs can stay relatively low
I looked into the Holmes HAP8650B-NU-2 on amazon but it works for ~220 sqft. A bit too small. They have a large version on amazon that isn't available to ship to me . I would think I can get away with Units around 350-400 sqft and keep them running.
Would like:
- 350-400 sqft
- cheapish filter replacements (20% premium on standard AC Filters is OK)
- willing to pay more for the unit, but based on the Reddit Discussion, unit price doesn't actually correlate to anything
