so for fun and frugality i tried to make my own laundry detergents but im having an issues with it separating in the final steps
Ingredients:
1x 5onch bar of Flz Naphal . was cut into pea size pieces and then shredded in my wife old smoothie blender. Then mixed with
2 cups of borat
2 cups of arm and hammer washing soda
.5 cups of Baking soda ( in the future I'm miss this ins with the bar soap at the blend stage to avoid lumping)
The powder come out fine. just needed to be shaking often or the felt naphas would lump together on the top of the mix.
Anyway i want to turn it into liquid detergent and tried the following way
added a cup of powder into a container and then pored a cup of boiling water into it and mixed it shortly before putting it into the smoothie blender again for a good mixed.
this liqide was then poured into the final 2qt container and was filled with cold water and shaken to mix it up
it has to stand for 24 hours it it looks like its seperating and stuff is raising to the top. is not a powder but more like a the substance of eggwhite from an egg on a pan.
Anyonw know if i just need to let it sit for its 24hours or should i shake it around ?
