Whats up errybody. I feel like this is a good place to talk about this, and I want to talk about this.
There's some studies that have shown when you're wiped out you make poorer choices. Anecdotally, it definitely matches up with my life. How do you guys combat/ work around fatigue? I bet a lot of you work hard, and long hours. I was noticing when my work started doing double overtime (11 hours total, 1 being lunch hour) I just say "fuck it" or "yeah but I like it" as I buy a 3 dollar and 50 cent canned caffeine sugar bombs. (caffeine complicates it a little bit) When I was a meat eater, and feeling overworked, I would eat fast food WAY more. Just can't find the time to hit the grocery store and/or cook. Thinking about it, it seems possible for pay from an overtime hour to be completely eaten up by poorer choices. That concept hit me pretty hard.
I have a list of stuff to try to post to sell on craigslist and I just never seem to have the energy. I even made one sale that went really well weeks ago. I want to commit to a side hustle, or some self-development that can lead to side income. I dream of not having a hourly meh wage job. I use fatigue as an excuse for not finding a way to get there.
But since it's /r/frugal, on the expenses side of the equation, How do you keep your spending in check/maintain good habits when you're just wiped out?
