I have my bi-annual/semi-annual (every 2 years) eye appointment tomorrow and I’m looking to get new glasses. I’ve recently learned that buying glasses online or independent of your eye doctor can save a lot of money. What places do you recommend based on your experiences? Also, I get $125 stipend from my insurance to put towards glasses or contacts. Do independent/online stores usually take insurance or are they strictly customer pay? Just trying to create a game plan for my appointment tomorrow. I plan to request a copy of my prescription and at least price out their glasses, but not order anything. I would also like a par of prescription sunglasses so should I order one pair from them (using my insurance stipend) and them order the other pair online?
