Hello all.
First time posting so bear with me, my question is born out of necessity, but I do have a interest in making my life more frugal step by step (Hoping to be able to live in a van!)
Anyways, currently I'm living by myself and quite frankly I'm fairly depressed and I'm having a lot of trouble eating properly. I don't have a car and my bike needs repairing so I don't make it the the store very often. When I do I try to buy greens and some vegetables, and maybe a precooked chicken. The problem is they end up going bad and its a waste. I end up eating cans of Progresso and Mac & Cheese. I generally can keep milk around and also eat a fair amount of cereal.
Do y'all have any tips on nutrient dense food that I can buy in bulk that and that won't go bad on me? I'm thinking along the lines of restaurant style soup powder that I don't have to put a lot of effort into, maybe dehydrated vegetables that I could add. I hope this is an appropriate question. Let me know if you guys have any suggestions. It doesn't have to be dirt cheap, I'm just really hoping trying to get a good diet together will improve my mental health and I can start building up to more complex meals. Not interested in the Ramen train because I feel bad enough already, lol. I have a kitchen and it is adequately equipped for most things.
Thanks in advance!
