I'm a 24-year-old who still lives at home because he cannot afford any house in the area that he lives in the Western United States. average prices are $350,000 and I don't have that much money to spend on a house. When I was 19 years old I was homeless and I hopped Union Pacific freight trains I went through Nebraska and stayed in Iowa and for a while in Kansas and discovered the simplicity and low cost of the middle America plains States. Small modest one and two bedroom houses that are in great condition with nice kitchens basically visible condition for 55 to $60,000 out there places like nebraska, rural Kansas and what I'm thinking is South Dakota maybe. I currently have a delivery driving job and I actually really like it because I get to drive around to various different places in a big box truck I'll buy myself and time never goes by slow. But I'm trying to aim for a class A commercial driver's license because all my family members who are truckers say that if you have a class A CDL you can live out in the middle of nowhere and still have a job, and I love driving it wouldn't have to deal with driving in heavy traffic like New York City or somewhere like that if I had a local job out in South Dakota or Kansas. It's been years since I last been out there but I've always admired the vast skies and all the farmland especially in the summer when everything is really green. I love all the flat treeless prairies it's calming and peaceful to me and for many years now I've always dreamed of buying a small house out on a tiny Town and just live in solitude. I'm actually going for a road trip to some of these places with my father next month, and after that I'm going to strive to get a CDL so I can make that dream a reality. How doable is this goal?
