you know the packets where you mix the powder with a bit of water and microwave it and bam, 1 mug cake.
so I live by myself and I don't eat a lot of sweets. but every now and then I want to eat a piece of cake. making a whole cake doesn't work for me because I can't / don't want to eat the whole thing myself. I have very limited freezer space too so I don't want to try freezing it.
I notice that buying a large box of regular cake mix is much cheaper than buying mug cake stuff (which only comes with a handful of tiny packets). And I wonder if I can portion that and sort of DIY my own 1-portion cake. BUT the regular cake mixes I've seen also use eggs and sometimes milk etc, which complicates thing (and I can't mix a fraction of an egg).
Anyways, wondering if anyone has tried something similar? Or if you know of any place to buy this in bulk or something. I can't find it at costco or sams club :/
