My master bedroom does not have a electrical bracket in the middle of the ceiling for a light or fan. I currently have found where to cut into the ceiling to install a bracket that will hold a ceiling fan and have found two different masonry boxes in the attic that I can install the electrical wire to. My question is, once I get into the masonry box, do I have to run additional wire or will there be a place for me to tie in the electrical wire to and then have that run to the ceiling fan? I plan on tackling this project in the next day or two and just unsure how the electrical wire will get connected into the masonry box.
